Tuala set to bring up 100 games for Manurewa
Counties Steelers representative and Manurewa club legend Ahsee Tuala will bring up 100 premier games this Saturday when his side hosts Papakura at Mountfort Park.

Tuala has been a terrific servant to the club – starting out as a promising youngster that immediately got called up to play for the Steelers before heading offshore and then returning as a veteran presence.

He returned to the club last year and helped them to back-to-back McNamara Cups and once again is a key figure as Manurewa make a push to the semi-finals this season.
Tuala started playing at Rewa in 2008 and departed for the UK in 2015 after being part of the Steelers side that lifted the Ranfurly Shield in 2013.  He spent time with the Northampton Saints, Manu Samoa and had one game for the Barbarians in Spain.

“Ace is the epitome of a loyal club man,” said chairman Garry Collier. “After an eight-year professional career overseas then returning to his roots and the club where it all started is somewhat rare these days. In doing so, his legacy will live forever on the walls of our clubrooms. We are all very proud of him and his family.”

It will be a big day at Mountfort Park with Manurewa celebrating sponsors and old boys day.
