Three Counties Energy Heat players have been named in the Black Ferns team to play Australia in Tauranga on Monday.
Gold medal-winning Sevens star Ruby Tui will make her Black Ferns 15-a-side debut while Arihiana Marino-Tauhinu and Hazel Tubic have also been named in the start side.
Tui (Papakura) was one of the stars of the Black Ferns Sevens campaign at the Tokyo Olympic Games and has been named to start on the wing while Marino-Tauhinu and Tubic (both Manurewa) have been terrific servants of both Manurewa and Counties Manukau Rugby and have been listed on the bench.
“It is great recognition for these three ladies and we congratulate them on their success,” Women’s High Performance and Pathways Manager Peter Shaw.
“A huge congratulations to Tui, who will compete in her first 15-a-side test match.
The game starts at 2:45pm in Tauranga and coverage is via Spark Sport.
