Counties Manukau Rugby has provided three players to the All Blacks squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup with Dalton Papali’i, Nepo Laulala and Cam Roigard confirmed in the touring party.
Papali’i and Laulala have been regular All Blacks for the past few seasons while Roigard’s rise up the ranks culminated in an All Blacks debut against the Wallabies a couple of weekends ago.
Today the trio was announced in coach Ian Foster’s side to contest the 10th World Cup in France, starting in just over a month.
Prop Laulala, in his final season before taking his career to France, is set to add to his 49 test caps.
Papali’i, who made his All Blacks debut in 2018 and has played 25 test matches, is one of five loose forwards confirmed in the side.
Halfback Roigard, who won the PIC Steelers Player of the Year in 2022, is confirmed as one of three halfbacks in the squad.
The All Blacks will meet hosts France in the opening game of the World Cup.
