PIC Steelers star Dalton Papali’i has been confirmed as captain of the Blues in this year’s Super Rugby Pacific competition.
The 25-year-old loose forward was first appointed as captain of the side last year and helped lead the Blues to the final against the Crusaders.
Papali’i has played 22 test matches for the All Blacks and made over 50 appearances for the Blues in Super Rugby since his debut in 2018.
Papali’i and his Blues teammates will visit Navigation Homes Stadium for a pre-season fixture against the Chiefs next Friday night.
