Counties Manukau Rugby has allocated a unique player number to every female player to have represented the Counties Energy Heat.
Much like they did with the PIC Steelers last year, CMRFU have dug back into the record books to assign a specific player number to each player that has worn the red, white and black hoops since the first ever female rep side.
The full list of Heat players and numbers.
The list starts with Jilly Cornish, who was assigned number 1 from the very first Counties Manukau Heat side in 1999.
Trinity Glassie is the most recent Counties Energy Heat player on the list at number 212, having made her debut last year during the Farah Palmer Cup.
“It is fantastic to celebrate the hard work, dedication and success our wahine have had over the course of our history,” said Counties Manukau Rugby chief executive Aaron Lawton.
“The Counties Energy Heat have had some terrific players wear our colours over the years and it is great to be able to honour them and celebrate what they have achieved.”
The numbers are a draft allocation, and anyone with additional information that may have been missed through the research period is encouraged to come forward so the Union can make the list as accurate as possible.
Anyone with information should contact dale.tucker@steelers.co.nz.
The list is set to be finalised on 1 July.
