The Counties Manukau Steelers have thumped Otago 45-17 for third straight win in the Bunnings Warehouse NPC.

The win ensures Reon Graham’s side remains in the all-important top eight with three rounds remaining before the playoffs.

Winger Peniasi Malimali scored a hat-trick as the Steelers ran in seven tries in a convincing performance in which they led from the 12^th minute of the game.

They face seventh placed Canterbury in Christchurch next Saturday before finishing the round robin with a home match against Wellington and a trip to Palmerston North to play Manawatu.
