Joanna Fanene-Lolo and Malahnie Fanene-Lolo have been recognised for their outstanding representative seasons at the Counties Energy Heat awards night.
Joanna Fanene-Lolo won the Most Valuable Player of the Year award with the Counties Energy Heat while Malahnie took out Heat Development Player of the Year.
Players were recognised for their success in 2023 at a function at Sudima Hotels Auckland Airport on Friday night.
Winger Kataraina Enosa-Taifau claimed the Player’s Player of the Year award with the Heat while lock Vineta Teutau was named Rookie of the Year after a break-out campaign.
Blues Women’s star Jaymie Kolose took out the Back of the Year while hard-working lock forward Rebecca Burch was a popular choice as Forward of the Year.
Shyanne Thompson was given the Pride in the Hoops award.
Anahera Ramsay was chosen as the Heat Development Attacking Player of the Year with Alana Grace getting the Defensive Player of the Year gong.
