Disappointing end to a promising season for the Heat

The Counties Energy Heat have bowed out of the Farah Palmer Cup in the semi-finals after going down to Canterbury 36-31 at Navigation Homes Stadium on Saturday.

It was a disappointing end to a promising season for the Heat, who topped the competition for most of the round robin.

They led the game with three minutes to play but the visitors scored a pair of late tries to secure the win and advance to the final.

The Heat fell behind early but made a strong start to the second half to wrestle away control of the game.
