Defending champions Waiuku will face Karaka in the final of the U85kg championship after both sides won through tough semi-finals.

Waiuku were pushed to the brink by last season’s runners-up Patumahoe in a one point thriller - Waiuku triumphing 23-22 at Rugby Park.

Karaka edged Beachlands Maraetai 18-10 in the other semi-final at Karaka.
