The Counties Manukau Steelers begin their Bunnings NPC campaign with an away trip to Taranaki that serves as the competition opener on Friday August 9.
A storm week to begin proceedings will be a tough challenge for Reon Graham’s side, who then have the task of playing Bay of Plenty in Rotorua on Wednesday August 14 before a third game in nine days when they host Waikato at Navigation Homes Stadium on Sunday August 18.
The second home match of the season comes on Saturday August 24 when Tasman makes the trip north.
The Steelers face North Harbour on the Shore on August 31 before back-to-back home games against Northland on Sunday September 8 and Otago on Sunday September 15. The 15th also being a double header with the Counties Energy Heat taking on Waikato at 11.35am.
Graham’s side will look for a repeat of last year’s win over Canterbury in Pukekohe when they head to Christchurch on Saturday September 21 before returning to Navigation Homes Stadium for the Jonah Lomu Memorial match against Wellington on Friday September 27.
The round robin concludes with a trip to Palmerston North to face Manawatu on Saturday October 5.
