ABOUT US

Welcome to the Counties Manukau Referees website. We referee games of rugby within the Counties Manukau region from as north as Beachlands and Manurewa and as south as Te Kauwhata and Maramarua. We cater for all levels of referees from Beginners up to Test referees and offer a wide range of games suiting your ability.   

We have regular meetings at Navigation Homes Stadium at Pukekohe on Monday nights, where we up skill our referees with a comprehensive training program which includes presentations, workshops, guest speakers, video analysis and engaging games.  

The referees have regular social occasions throughout the year, including our end of year prize giving night normally held in September.  

We welcome anyone who is interested in being a rugby referee and encourage anyone who is thinking of picking up the whistle to give it a go. Refereeing is the best seat in the house! 

Local Success Lauren

Our very own superstar Lauren Jenner is an example of what you can gain from refereeing. Lauren has been part of the NZ National Refereeing Squad for several years now, refereeing FPC games and being involved in the mix of things in the M10 Cup. She is also on the World Rugby 7’s Circuit traveling the world seeing some cool places like Dubai and Cape Town in South Africa.

There is real potential to make a career from refereeing if you are open to learning and dedicated to being the best you can be.
