Two impressive week one winners meet in a mouth-watering Wider Auckland Club Knock Out competition clash at Cornwall Park on Saturday.
Auckland’s Grammar TEC and Counties Manukau’s Patumahoe ran out convincing winners against Manurewa and Manukau respectively last week and are now just one win away from playing off for the inaugural John Spiers Trophy.
They square-off at Grammar TEC’s home ground at 2.30pm.
On the other side of the draw North Shore, celebrating their 150th season in 2023, will play Pakuranga.
Those two sides won through to the semi-finals by beating Ponsonby and Karaka respectively and meet at Lloyd Elsmore Park from 1.30pm.
Elsewhere, defending Gallaher Shield champions Manukau will welcome players back to face defending McNamara Cup champs Manurewa at Mountfort Park.
Karaka host Auckland giants Ponsonby at Karaka Sports Complex from 2pm.
In Pool 2 – the BCITO Te Pukenga Trophy - Eden hosts first-up winners Bombay at Gribblehurst Park from 2.30pm while Pukekohe hosts Papatoetoe at Colin Lawrie Fields at 1pm.
Papakura, who won their opening game last week, head out west to play Kumeu.
