Patumahoe Women host Weymouth Women in a key Martin-Richards Women’s 10s game at Clive Howe Field on Saturday.
Both sides are in semi-final contention – Patumahoe are locked in as they hold down third spot on the table while Weymouth need only a bonus point this weekend to secure their place as well.
The only way both teams don’t make it through to next week’s semi-finals are if Patumahoe win and prevent Weymouth from getting a bonus point. Auckland Marist would then need a bonus point win over second-placed Puketapapa to go through on differential.
“Looking forward to coming up against Weymouth this weekend,” Patumahoe coach Anthony Campbell told Counties Sports Hub.
“Its awesome to see another Counties side playing well and also have a chance to make a semi-final.
“We’re looking forward to playing at home in front of our loyal supporters in what is a massive day for the club as it is past players day.
“We know Weymouth will throw everything at us, so we will need to be at our best.”
The game kicks off at 1pm.
