Onewhero stormed home to draw their Sid Marshall Shield semi-final 20-20 with Weymouth at Laurie Gibbons Reserve to advance to the final on try countback.
The visitors scored four tries in the semi-final compared to Weymouth’s two, earning the tiebreaker to book a spot in next weekend’s competition decider.
Top qualifier Waiuku had to work hard to beat last year’s defending champions Drury 21-16 at Rugby Park in Waiuku.
It means Waiuku and Onewhero will meet in the Sid Marshall Shield final at Navigation Homes Stadium next Saturday.
