The Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union Inc is calling for nominations for Independent Directors for 2023.

In accordance with our Constitution, current directors Gary Millington and Craig Carter are standing down by rotation under Clause 15.4.3 of the CMRFU Constitution. They are eligible for re-election.

As a result of the above, there are two vacancies for Independent Directors of the Union.

Both positions are unpaid and commence in April, 2023.

Please note that dependent on the Governance Review of the CMRFU (which is ongoing), all directors may be required to stand down from their positions later this year should recommendations for a new board structure be voted into place at a Special General Meeting. Role Requirements:

•             A strong expertise in corporate governance and skills in strategy.

•             Candidates who complement and strengthen the expertise of the existing CMRFU board.

Specific requirements:

•             Board diversification to ensure our board is representative of our rugby community.

•             Commercial expertise, with an ongoing focus on revenue generation.

•             Strong understanding of community rugby within Counties Manukau and a connection to our clubs.

•             Previous governance experience is also preferred.
