Waiuku College were able to edge Tuakau College 25-22 in Bhana Family Farms Counties Manukau Secondary School 1^st XV action over the weekend. The win lifts Waiuku into third on the competition table.

1^st XV Challenge Shield holders Pukekohe High School had little trouble in defending their silverware against Manurewa High as they ran out 60-7 winners at Pukekohe.

Papakura High School maintained second place on the table with a 38-7 win over Rosehill College.

Waiuku College protected their unblemished record in Boys U15 Open as they beat Alfriston College 44-0.

Tuakau College collected a 29-12 win on the road against Te Kauwhata College while Pukekohe High proved too good for Papakura High with a 22-8 win.

In Boys U14 Open, Wesley College triumphed 44-12 over St Ignatius while Pukekohe High beat Waiuku College 51-10.

Pukekohe High School and James Cook High will contest the final of the Girls 12s competition after winning through from the semi-finals.

James Cook edged Papakura High 20-19 in a thrilling contest in the first semi-final while Pukekohe High prevailed 53-10 over Alfriston College in the second semi.
