Pukekohe and Patumahoe will shoot out for a likely home McNamara Cup semi-final when the two neighbours meet at Colin Lawrie Fields on Saturday.
Second place Patumahoe will look to bounce back from a narrow loss to top side Karaka last week while Pukekohe will be hoping to reverse the result between the two sides from the first round and jump their long-time rivals into second spot over the final three weeks of the round robin. “The boys are very motivated to play Patty at home this week,” said coach Michael Porter. We feel like we didn’t play our best last time we played each other. A home semi would be nice, obviously, but it’s something we are not looking at at the moment. It is semi-finals time in the Massey Cup U21 competition with top ranked Karaka hosting Ardmore Marist at Karaka Sports Complex while Patumahoe heads north to Mountfort Park to face Manurewa.
Ardmore Marist and Pukekohe meet in the first Bright Cup U19 semi-final while Waiuku and Manurewa battle it out in the other semi-final in Waiuku.
Onewhero hosts Waiuku in the U85kg grade while Patumahoe and Beachlands Maraetai square off in Patumahoe.
Drury hosts Pukekohe.
Patumahoe hosts Grammar TEC in a key Women’s Premier Development match on Saturday.
