In a huge boost for the club game a McNamara Cup premiership match will be livestreamed on the Counties Manukau Rugby Football Union Facebook page and on Counties Sports Hub each week this club season.

The Counties Power Game of the Week will be broadcast each weekend with all 10 premiership clubs featuring across the opening nine rounds.

“This is a really exciting initiative and one that will give us a chance to showcase our premier club rugby competition to a wider audience,” CMRFU CEO Aaron Lawton said.

“After last year’s disrupted season, there’s a real sense of excitement across the region about the return of club rugby.”

Pukekohe Mitre 10 Mega will host Patumahoe Troydon Patumahoe Hotel in the first livestreamed game of the season this Saturday at Colin Lawrie Fields. The long-time arch-rivals look evenly matched on paper and the contest will be a fitting way to begin the 2021 season.
