Patumahoe rode scintillating late-season form to win the Women’s Premier Development competition final against Papakura 20-17 at Massey Park on Saturday.

Patumahoe finished the McNamara Cup round robin on a high as they warmed up for the semi-finals with a tight 19-15 win over Bombay at Patumahoe.

Pukekohe eased to a 55-14 win over Papakura at Colin Lawrie Fields and will take some momentum into next weekend’s semi-finals.

Karaka collected a walk-over win against Ardmore Marist to finish the round robin undefeated.

Patumahoe edged Bombay 22-14 in Bob Chandler Cup Premier Development play to finish their season on a high.

Pukekohe prevailed 18-10 against Papakura in a close contest.

Waiuku had to work hard to best Maramarua 13-8 at Maramarua in the Sid Marshall Shield.

Onewhero pipped Te Kauwhata 18-14 in a close battle at Te Kauwhata while Manurewa secured a 29-11 win at home against Puni.

Weymouth thumped Tuakau 107-0 while Drury beat Te Kohanga 74-0 as both teams flexed their muscles.

In U85kg action, Waiuku came from behind to edge Karaka 14-11, Pukekohe pipped Patumahoe 17-13 while Onewhero snuck past Drury 9-3.
