Counties Manukau and All Blacks prop Nepo Laulala has re-signed with the Blues Super Rugby franchise for another season.
The 41-test star will bring up 100 Super Rugby games when he next takes to the field, having played 26 games with the Blues and 73 between the Chiefs and Crusaders during his career.
“Nepo’s been an important part of our squad since he returned home with his family last year and he’s an invaluable part of our tight-five group,” said coach Leon MacDonald.
“He’s a quiet family man with strong values but is also a strong contributor to our team discussions – we are pleased to have him back with us for 2023.”
Laulala played a couple of games for the Steelers in 2022 as well as playing for the All Blacks.
