Karaka Red took out the Counties Manukau Rugby club sevens competition held at Waiuku Rugby Club on Saturday.

The Karaka outfit proved to be the cream of the crop, winning all of their games and defeating Patumahoe 19-15 in the Cup final.

Earlier, Karaka Red beat Manurewa 31-17 in the semi-finals and Patumahoe beat Pukekohe 26-10 to make the decider.

Bombay beat Karaka White 38-7 to take out the Plate final while home side Waiuku defeated Weymouth 24-7 to win the Bowl final.

Manurewa won the women’s competition, beating Pukekohe 43-5 in the final.

Ardmore Marist triumphed in the U19 final, beating Karaka 12-0.
