Hauraki Plains College secured a 27-19 win on the road against Papakura High School in Counties Manukau Rugby Secondary Schools 1st XV competition.
It was a bounce back win for last year’s beaten finalists, who lost to Tuakau/Onewhero last week in a replay of the 2022 decider.
Waiuku College edged Wesley College 17-7 while Pukekohe High School defeated Alfriston College 15-10.
Defending champions Tuakau/Onewhero made it two wins from two as they beat Rosehill College 19-7.
Wesley College 1st XV scored a 58-0 thrashing of Lindisfarne College in the Central North Island 1st XV Competition, Manurewa High School lost to Orewa 23-3 in the North Harbour 1st XV Competition while Pukekohe High School beat Cambridge 45-6 in the Waikato 1st XV Competition.
Pukekohe High School thrashed Papakura High School Green 50-0 in their Girls 10s match on Friday night.
Rosehill College picked up a 37-5 win over Tuakau/Onewhero while Alfriston College were too good for Waiuku College thanks to a 30-10 victory.
In Boys U15 Open, Tuakau/Onewhero edged Waiuku College 15-13, Pukekohe High School hammered Papakura High School 42-0 while Alfriston College beat Rosehill College 22-13.
Pukekohe High got a 30-5 win over Tuakau/Onewhero in Boys U14 Open while Waiuku College thumped Rosehill College 50-0.
