Fifth-placed Bombay hosts sixth-placed Papakura in a must-win McNamara Cup game for both sides if they are to have a shot at playing semi-final football in 2024.

While the top three clubs – Karaka, Patumahoe and Pukekohe – have cleared out and are all but assured of a spot in the semi-finals, Bombay and Papakura have their eyes focused on fourth-placed Manurewa. Both sides need to win this game as well as beating Manurewa when they meet later in the second round to have a realistic chance of jumping them.

Two-time defending champions Manurewa could do themselves a big favour by beating old foes Pukekohe at Colin Lawrie Fields this weekend.

 

Patumahoe hosts Ardmore Marist at Patumahoe Domain.

Two top-four sides meet in the Sid Marshall Shield this weekend when Weymouth hosts Onewhero at Laurie Gibbons Reserve. In-form Manurewa heads to Rugby Park in Waiuku to face the top ranked side so far, while Te Kauwhata needs a win at home against Puni to stay in the semi-final battle.Maramarua hosts Te Kohanga while Drury and Tuakau square off on Friday night in Drury.

 

Pukekohe is at home to Auckland side Puketapapa in Bright Cup U19 action.

The remaining grades have the long weekend off.
